Consolidated Alloys is pleased to announce the launch of its new Acryflash® (formerly Acrylead®) roof flashing and to announce that Acryflash® is now compliant with the Australian Drinking Water Standards AS/ NZ 4020:2005 “off the shelf”.
 
Acrylead® has been the leading coated lead flashing in the Australian Market for over 15 years. It is manufactured by Consolidated Alloys at its main manufacturing site in Melbourne, Australia. Over the past 18 months the product has undergone extensive modification, trialing and testing resulting in significant improvements which include -
 
An improved acrylic paint coating.
 
Improvements to the acrylic based application and baking process.
 
Full encapsulation of the whole flashing including all edges.
 
Alternate colours will be available in the near future including lead grey, charcoal and terracotta.
 
Successful testing to AS/NZ 4020:2005 drinking water standards.
 
Acryflash® is now certified for use “off the shelf” in potable/ drinking water applications such as flashings on roofs used as catchments for rainwater tanks.

Following a number of reductions in material costs over the last 12 months, Acryflash® is now the most cost effective roof flashing available on the Australian market.

Furthermore Acryflash®, effective 01st April 2009, will be priced the same as Standard Sheet Lead, so from an inventory management perspective you now only need to stock Acryflash® in order to enjoy all the benefits mentioned above, with the additional advantages of environmental compatibility, pleasing aesthetics and the reliability of a proven performer over many years as a flashing product.
